Technical Assistance Partnership and New Staff

We’re excited to announce that Center for Public Enterprise will be partnering with Economic Security Project to provide technical assistance on the use of public financing tools for clean energy investments.

Economic Security Project is launching an effort to support a broad array of public options across many sectors of the economy, including energy and housing, two key areas of focus for Center for Public Enterprise.

To support this work, Center for Public Enterprise is bringing on Yakov Feygin as Director of Public Finance. Yakov previously worked as an Associate Director at the Berggruen Institute and as a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has a Ph.D. in Economic History from the University of Pennsylvania and is an expert on green bank design, public finance, and industrial policy.

Yakov and his son at home in Los Angeles, CA.

Yakov will support the Economic Security Project’s public options efforts, in particular through their Public Officials for Public Options Network, which “brings elected officials and government staff together to learn from each other in implementing public options.”

In addition, Yakov will support Center for Public Enterprise’s Energy team with green banking program design in partnership with governmental agencies across the country.
